Christian Multi-Denominational
Retrouvaille
Because of the large number of protestant couples who
have been attending Retrouvaille
weekends, Retrouvaille International
has begun issuing site licenses for protestant folks
to conduct Retrouvaille weekends. We must write our talks using the same
outline, have
the talks "workshopped" by a qualified couple and conduct the weekend in
accordance
with the Retrouvaille by-laws.
We paid the $100.00 application fee and received a site
license to conduct CMD Retrouvaille
weekends in the Dayton area. Our's was only the third site license
issued, and is the first one
east of the Mississippi River. The first two sites are Fresno, CA and
Minneapolis, MN.
We have been in contact with the Dayton-Cincinnati
Retrouvaille folks and they have
very helpful in getting us started. They presently conduct 4 weekends
per year, mainly
in the Cincinnati area. Our plans are to begin by conducting one CMD
weekend per
year and blend seamlessly into their schedule as a fifth weekend.
To date, we have:
1. Written our own set of Stage 1 talks and recruited another couple who
is writing
their Stage 1 talks.
2. Recruited an admin couple willing to help us with all the
admin/logistics issues
involved in conducting a weekend.
3. Identified a facility in Dayton in which to conduct the weekend.
4. Found a seamstress who is making the wall banners for us.
OUR NEEDS
In order to conduct our first weekend, we desperately need couples to help in
the
following areas:
1. A protestant clergy couple willing to write their
talks, and present at least one
weekend per year. (Retrouvaille provides the talk outlines, and you just
insert
your personal stories to illustrate the points being made). Our
community will
pay for your transportation to and from Dayton and pay for your hotel room and
meals for the weekend.
2. Two more lay couples willing to write their talks and
present at least one
weekend per year. (Retrouvaille provides the talk outlines, and you just
insert
your personal stories to illustrate the points being made). Our
community will
pay for your transportation to and from Dayton and pay for your hotel room and
meals for the weekend.
If you are interested in helping, please email us at
rcronk@woh.rr.com and
we will send you a copy of the talk outlines. No previous experience is
required
and we are looking for couples from all denominations so this will truly
become
a Christian Multi-Denominational Retrouvaille.
