Miscarriage & Infant Loss
 

In 1988, former President Ronald Reagan declared October to be "Pregnancy and Infant
Loss Awareness Month."  Loss of a baby during pregnancy or early infancy affects a large
number of people, with at least 20% of all pregnancies ending in miscarriage, stillbirth,
or early infant death.  From the moment of conception, a couple becomes parents and
their baby becomes a human with an eternal spirit.
